We celebrated “I Love to Read” month with Ukrainian folk tales! 📚

Thanks to a couple of our Ensemble dancers for reading Ukrainian folk tales to our younger dancers and sharing Ukrainian culture through story. The dancers were excited to learn how to say “I love to read” in Ukrainian — “Я люблю читати”! 📖

It’s not a zabava without a kolomeyka! 💃🏻🕺🏻

Many past and present Ukrainian dancers showed their favourite steps in our zabava kolomeyka. Seeing and being part of a kolomeyka was a new experience for so many of our young dancers and new families — there was a contagious energy of joy and pride for Ukrainian culture through dance! We love these moments that bring our entire Selo and greater community together. 💙💛

After a couple years it was exciting to gather our community for a fun evening of music, dancing, food, and good times! We had an incredible time performing for such warm and encouraging audience. We’re already looking forward to next year!
